About
the Author--Paula Moldenhauer
I’m
passionate about freedom in Christ, joyful souls, and intimacy with Jesus.
God did amazing, healing things in my life, encouraging me to live with a
jubilant heart. I want to share His truth that when the Son has set you
free, you are free indeed.
That’s why
my husband and I created this website—to invite you to come with me on
my journey because I hope it will encourage you in yours. I’m a regular
person like you, full of hopes and dreams, faults and good points,
successes and failures. Some days it seems almost impossible to walk out
the truth God has given me and some times He seems so near that I
practically float through the day.
Everyone has
joy and pain in his or her life. I’m discovering that as a writer I’m
compelled to enter deeply into both the good and bad and share my
discoveries with others. I also have a passion for beauty and pray often
that He will allow me to write something beautiful.
A home
schooling mother of four, I’m daily in a whirlwind of activities—from
teaching factorization to being chauffeur, cook, arbitrator, and lover. My
family is consuming—but often I slip off to my computer and my Best
Friend and I create.
My heart
dances as He places hard-earned truths into my writing. Often, I cry along
with the characters in my fiction writing causing my husband to shake his head.
Other times, I am reminded of the wonderful things God has shown me and I
just have to pause, thank Him, and ask Him to make them real in my life.
Some
things that make my heart come alive are biking and hiking in the
mountains, cuddling my children, listening to a really good worship CD,
walking barefoot, teaching kids about Jesus and life, watching Jane Austen
movies with my daughter, yelling for my boys at the hockey rink, talking
with God through my pen and my journal, and having deep, lingering
conversations with my husband and friends.
I
love flowers, children, peppermint ice cream, good books, classical music,
Henry Weinhard root beer, paintings from the impressionism period,
gurgling streams, and chocolate covered cherries.
Writing is an increasingly important part of my life. For links to
books I'm published in or to my work that's been published on line,
see Paula Pens. I also have sold articles and devotionals to several print
magazines. Among my fondest dreams is the hope that one of the novels I've
written will soon be published.
